Listed Public Power Corp. (PPC), the state-run utility that dominates the Greek electricity market, and China Machinery Engineering Corp. (CMEC) on Monday penned an agreement that foresees possible partnerships in the country and in the region.

Joint power production is also cited in the agreement, as well as modernizing PPC units.
CMEC CEO Zhang Chun told reporters in Athens that the Chinese multinational will invest in Greek projects and will soon open a liaison office in the country.
