A 51-year-old Syrian man was arrested on Crete this week on a European warrant issued by Belgian authorities.
Police said the man is wanted in connection with alleged terrorist actions and participation in a criminal network in the EU, as well as people trafficking and forgery.
Computers, electronic files, numerous cell phones and 20,000 euros in cash were confiscated at his residence. He is due to appear before a prosecutor in the city of Hania.
