Low-cost airline Ryanair announced that it was cancelling 110 flights to and from Greek destinations over the weekend due to an air traffic controllers strike in Greece.
The company also called on the European Commission and the Greek government to take measures in order to prevent the closing of airspace over Greece, as it said in a press release.
Ryanair said the possibility of more cancellations loomed for Monday.
