A long-awaited draft law containing provisions for the implementation of 13 remaining “prior actions” demanded from Athens by institutional creditors will, by all accounts, be tabled on Thursday.

Composing, ratifying, and implementing the measures is deemed as necessary before a 2.8-billion-euro sub-tranche of bailout money can be loaned to the Greek state.

Two deadlines loom on the horizon: a Sept. 29 meeting of the EuroWorking Group and Oct. 10’s Eurogroup meeting.

Among others, abolition of certain discounts for social security contributions and changes in the civil aviation authority’s framework will be included.

The highlight of the draft bill, however, will be a transfer of shares of several state-owned utilities and enterprises to the privatization fund, regardless of whether the entities will be put up for partial sale or for a transfer of their management to the private sector.
