State to pay another 200 mln€ towards pharmaceutical companies next month

The Greek state is continuing to reduce arrears towards the private sector, with 200 million euros reportedly ready to be disbursed to pharmaceutical companies by the national health care provider, EOPYY, in September.

The Greek state is continuing to reduce arrears towards the private sector, with 200 million euros reportedly ready to be disbursed to pharmaceutical companies by the national health care provider, EOPYY, in September.

The payments will cover EOPPY debts to drug companies incurred before Jan 31, 2016.

Along with the projected allocation, the state-run organization will have paid out 470 million euros over a period of three months, significantly reducing debts towards the specific sector of suppliers.
