Greek FinMin Euclid Tsakalotos on Monday referred to the possibility of a delay in the disbursement of a 2.8-billion sub-tranche of bailout money, in statements to Bloomberg.
He said the delay would be “days, not weeks”, speaking before his scheduled meeting with EU Commissioner Pierre Moscovici.
In later comments circulated by “circles” close to the ministry, the “spin” on Tsakalotos’ comments was that if any delay does occur will be due to “technical reasons”, and at most for 48 hours.
