Four international companies have reportedly expressed an interest in a tender to purchasea 24-percent stake of Greece’s independent power transmission operator (IPTO or ADMIE).
The development is part of a memorandum-mandated procedure to select a strategic investor for the power grid operator, and follows a recent decision by a majority of shareholders at a general assembly of the country’s main power utility, listed Public Power Corp. (PPC).
According to the state-run news agency, the four interested parties are Terna, from Italy, France’s RTE, the China’s State Grid and South Power Grid.
