EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on Sunday reiterated that the Eurozone would not be complete without the participation of Greece, speaking a day before he is scheduled to visit Athens.

In statements to the network “Euronews”, the influential EU leader said he worked hard for Greece to remain in the euro area, adding that the efforts were successful.

Additionally, he again repeated that Greece has undertaken major reforms and that Grexit has been eliminated from serious discussion since the summer of 2015.

In reference to the migrant crisis, he said countries on the “front line” should be supported, something that Europe is trying to do as much as possible with Greece.

Finally, asked about the upcoming British referendum on remaining in the EU, he expressed a hope that the “common sense” will guide British voters, “as common sense is a British virtue”. He predicted that in the end Brexit will not be the result of the referendum.
