The latest opinion poll published over the weekend shows main opposition New Democracy (ND) party with a 7.5 percentage point lead over ruling SYRIZA party.
The poll was published in the Sunday weekly «Proto Thema», the biggest circulation weekend paper in Greece, and conducted by the firm Alco.
Specifically, 25.4 percent of respondents picked center-right ND to 17.9 percent for leftist SYRIZA. The far-right and nationalistic Golden Dawn party was picked by 8.1 percent, followed by the Communist Party, 6.5 and a PASOK-led grouping with 4.3 percent.
The undecided vote from the poll was calculated at 19.4 percent.
