The Greek government on Tuesday confirmed that talks with institutional creditors will resume on Monday, with a spokeswoman also aiming criticism at the IMF’s stance in negotiations between Athens and lenders.
“Negotiations with the institutions should have concluded a while back,” spokeswoman Olga Gerovassili said, adding that “the Greek side has submitted complete proposals that cover the goals set forth in last July’s agreement.”
She also said statements by IMF chief Christine Lagarde last week over the need to achieve the timely first review of the Greek program (third bailout) have not, “until now, been proven by the IMF’s stance in negotiations”.
