The Association of Northern Greece Exporters on Monday called for an acceleration in the process to privatize the Thessaloniki Port Authority (OLTh), following the successful privatization of the port of Piraeus last week, whose port authority (OLP) was granted to Chinese multinational Cosco.
The association addressed a relevant letter to Greece’s privatization fund (TAIPED), while at the same time praising the agreement transferring 67 percent of OLP and its management to Cosco.
The northern Greece exporters’ union (SEBE) underlined that guaranteed bids must be submitted by July 2016. SEBE also warned that the process has been greatly delayed.
