The European Central Bank’s governing council on Wednesday accepted a request by the Bank of Greece for a reduction in the ELA-ceiling for Greek banks to €69.9 billion.
According to the ECB, the €1.4 billion reduction in the ceiling “reflects an improvement of the liquidity situation of Greek banks, amid a reduction of uncertainty and the stabilization of private sector deposits flows.”
