Some 100 Mideast refugees and other third country migrants being hosted in a temporary shelter in the Diavata site outside the northern city of Thessaloniki on Thursday staged a protest march towards the city’s center demanding the “opening of borders”.
Some 100 Mideast refugees and other third country migrants being hosted in a temporary shelter in the Diavata site outside the northern city of Thessaloniki on Thursday staged a protest march towards the city’s center demanding the “opening of borders”.
The group of protesters want governments along the so-called “Balkan route” to open their borders and allow them to reach preferred destinations in western and northern Europe, primarily Germany.
