The European Central Bank’s (ECB) governing council on Thursday announced that the board id not have objections to an ELA-ceiling for Greek banks of €71.4 billion, up to and including Wednesday, 16 March 2016.
The new ceiling followed a request by the Bank of Greece.
The unchanged ceiling reflects the improved liquidity situation of Greek banks amid reduced uncertainty and the stabilization of private sector deposits flows, a BoG press release noted.
