Apparently, the need to restrict the Greek government’s cash deficits – in the face of a stilled delay review of the so-called “Greek program” agreed to with institutional creditors – increased debts owed by public hospitals, the national healthcare provider (EOPYY) and the civil servants’ fund.
Outstanding state debts reached 4.765 billion euros in January, up from 4.641 billion euros in December 2015. If delayed tax refunds are added to the figure, then the total exceeds 5.47 billion euros.
