Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias on Tuesday discerned what he said was a “dirty game” against German Chancellor Angela Merkel as behind the recently expressed policy followed by Austria vis-à-vis the refugee crisis.
Speaking to a local television station, Kotzias expressed a view that Austria is backed by “other forces opposing Ms. Merkel.”
He also left open the possibility of a veto being yielded by the Greek government “if conclusions and decisions (at an upcoming summit on the refugee crisis) aren’t the ones we want”.
