Greek-owned vessel to load LNG from new Gulf of Mexico facility

The Greek-owned liquefied natural gas carrier “Energy Atlantic” is ready, along with the “Asia Vision”, to load the first quantities of LNG from Cheniere's Sabine Pass Terminal LNG facility in the Gulf of Mexico, the first quantity of gas from the new complex located on the border of Texas and Louisiana.

The nearly 90,000-DWT “Energy Atlantic” is owned by Alpha Tanker & Freighter and was constructed in 2015.
After initial delays the first LNG will flow from the new Cheniere facility in late February or early March, according to Tradewinds.
